Salisbury Rugby Football Club welcomed its valued sponsors to the club on Saturday.

Salisbury Rugby Football Club welcomed its valued sponsors to the club on Saturday 17 January for a sponsors’ lunch, followed by an exciting afternoon of rugby at Castle Road.

As a long-established club at the heart of the local sporting community, Salisbury RFC continues to play an important role in bringing people together, from players and volunteers to supporters and local businesses. The event reflected that strong community spirit, bringing together sponsors, club volunteers and players to enjoy good food, drink and conversation ahead of the match.

The afternoon was capped off with an impressive performance from the Men’s 1st XV, who secured a well-earned 41–29 victory over Melksham RFC in front of an appreciative crowd.

Guests were welcomed by Club Chair Graham Hillier, who highlighted the vital role sponsors play in ensuring the financial sustainability of Salisbury RFC. He stressed that the club’s ability to serve the local community, develop players of all ages and field competitive teams would not be possible without the continued backing of its sponsors.

Director of Rugby Matt Pallas also addressed attendees, outlining the significant progress made by the club this season. He spoke of the re-establishment of a Senior Women’s XV, supported by a thriving girls’ junior section, the successful reintroduction of the Men’s 3rd XV, and the Men’s 1st XV’s strong challenge for promotion. He noted that these achievements and ambitions are firmly underpinned by sponsor support.
