A small team of volunteers has been working to refresh and enhance the rugby photographs displayed in the Murley and Rowland Rooms, helping to celebrate the rich history and proud traditions of Salisbury RFC.

The Murley Room now features a gallery of 1st XV Captains, alongside photographs that reflect the many different sections of the Club and the people who have shaped it over the years. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to John Palmer, whose remarkable photographic archive and meticulous catalogue have made this project possible.

However, there is still work to do....

As you will notice in the Rowland Room, a number of historic 1st XV team photographs from the 1980s and earlier are missing. We'd love your help in finding them.
If you, a family member or a friend played for Salisbury RFC before the 1990s, please take a look through your old photograph albums. You may have a team photograph that could help us fill an important gap in the Club's history. We are also working to identify players featured in many of the historic images that will eventually be displayed around the clubhouse.

We're equally interested in seeing any other photographs, programmes, newspaper cuttings or memorabilia connected with Salisbury RFC. Every item helps us build a richer picture of the Club's remarkable story.

Looking further ahead, we are researching the wider history of rugby in Salisbury. Recent discoveries suggest that organised rugby in the city predates the founding of Salisbury RFC, and we hope to bring to life some of the fascinating people, teams and events that have contributed to our proud heritage.
