17th. October: The 3rd XV welcomed their counterparts from Swanage & Wareham for a friendly fixture. It was an entertaining game with loads of energy and commitment from both sides.

We were first on the scoreboard 7 minutes in with a try from a break down the right wing. Swans equalised quickly then scored another to lead 5-10. Joe Paden barrelled his way over for our second, which was converted to give us a 12-10 lead after which we never conceded the lead. With another try we went into half-time leading 17-10.

We ran in three more tries in quick succession after break, two converted, to increase our lead to 36-10. Swans then woke up and scored four tries in 8 minutes to get back to 36-32. We pulled away again with a penalty and a converted try then Swans got one back. Final score - Salisbury Mighty Threes 46 - Swans III 36.

Thanks to Swans for a good and entertaining game.
