Salisbury 2nd XV were convincing winners on a warm afternoon, in a match that provided plenty of attacking rugby from both sides.

With Bath Saracens suffering from a number of injury and availability issues, the game was played with 13 players per side. Despite the reduced numbers, Bath opened the scoring with a well-worked try, catching Salisbury on the back foot.

The early setback proved to be the wake-up call Salisbury needed. The away side quickly found their rhythm and responded with a sustained period of pressure, producing a flurry of tries through some impressive attacking play. Salisbury's pace and organisation began to tell, and they pulled clear before the interval to establish a commanding half-time lead.
There was little let-up after the restart as Salisbury continued to demonstrate some well-structured rugby. Their forwards provided a solid platform while the backs made good use of the space, resulting in further tries and an increasingly difficult afternoon for the hosts.
To their credit, Bath Saracens never allowed the score line to dampen their effort and were rewarded with two further well-worked tries in the second half.

Salisbury's attacking momentum ultimately proved too much, and they completed a comprehensive 87–19 victory.

While Salisbury deservedly took the spoils, Bath's commitment to playing positively was a notable feature of the afternoon. In warm conditions, both sides contributed to an entertaining and open game, with Salisbury's organisation and attacking quality ultimately making the difference.
